PIA’s Country Manager in Saudi Arabia leaves for home after completing three-year tenure

International Airlines (PIA) has announced a leadership transition in its
Riyadh Region. Bilal Ahmed, who has completed a three-year tenure as Manager
and Country Manager in Saudi Arabia, has returned to PIA’s head office. Shakeel
Ahmed has been appointed as the new Manager for the Riyadh Region.
Bilal Ahmed, a Faisalabad native,
joined PIA in 2009 and has served at key stations including Islamabad, Karachi,
and Faisalabad. During his assignment in Saudi Arabia, he was instrumental in
improving operational efficiency and enhancing passenger services. He holds a
bachelor’s degree from Punjab University Faisalabad, a master’s from Punjab
University Lahore, and an MPhil from IOBM Karachi.

Shakeel Ahmed, also a 2009 PIA recruit from Sargodha, has experience at major stations including Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad. He holds an MBA from COMSATS University Islamabad. His appointment is expected to bring a fresh perspective to PIA’s Riyadh operations, focusing on service quality and operational management.
The Riyadh Region remains a
strategic hub for PIA, serving a significant number of Pakistani travelers
daily. The leadership change reflects the airline’s ongoing commitment to professional
continuity, improved performance, and strengthened passenger trust. Overseas
community members have welcomed the appointment, expressing confidence in
Shakeel Ahmed’s ability to enhance PIA’s services in the region.
