PIA’s Ispahani Hangar Parking Area at Karachi
Airport sealed by authorities
The parking area of Pakistan International
Airlines’ (PIA) Ispahani Hangar at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport has
been sealed.
The move was carried out jointly by the Pakistan
Airports Authority (PAA) and PIA’s own security teams. As a result, aircraft
engineers and other PIA staff have reportedly been denied access to the hangar
premises.
Sources said the sealed area also includes the
office of the Society of Aircraft Engineers. The PAA had issued a notice a week
earlier, instructing the society to vacate the premises.
No official reason for the sealing has been publicly disclosed.

In a separate development, PIA has announced a 15% discount on flights to Canada, aimed at facilitating travelers. The offer is valid for ticket purchases until October 10, with travel dates between September 30 and December 19.
Earlier this month, PIA had temporarily suspended its Canada-bound flights from September 13 to 27 due to mandatory maintenance on its Boeing 777 long-range aircraft. The airline confirmed the suspension in an official announcement.
