Three new airports to be constructed in Pakistan
The Pakistan Airports Authority
(PAA) is set to launch major new airport projects in three cities: Mirpur (Azad
Kashmir), Dera Ismail Khan, and Hyderabad.
According to sources, a feasibility
study for the Mirpur airport is nearing completion, while land acquisition is
already in progress for the Dera Ismail Khan airport. These developments aim to
improve long-standing connectivity issues in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and
surrounding regions.

to upgrade three airports and construct a new one
In Hyderabad, the government has
instructed authorities to resume commercial flight operations and establish an
aviation training school to promote skill development within the aviation
sector.
Additionally, the Sukkur Airport is
slated for complete reconstruction. The PAA plans to develop it into a regional
hub serving northern Sindh. A briefing on this initiative has already been
presented to the National Assembly.
