PLAAF and PAF chiefs discuss cooperation between their air forces
In a significant display of military
diplomacy and strategic alignment, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu,
Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), met with Lieutenant
General Wang Gang, Chief of Staff of the People's Liberation Army Air Force
(PLAAF), at Air Headquarters in Islamabad.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services
Public Relations (ISPR), the two leaders engaged in wide-ranging discussions on
regional security dynamics, airpower capabilities, and opportunities for enhanced
bilateral cooperation, particularly in operational coordination and training.

Air Chief Marshal Sidhu warmly
welcomed the Chinese delegation, emphasizing the historic and time-tested
relationship between Pakistan and China. He highlighted the foundation of
mutual trust, strategic alignment, and shared goals for promoting regional
peace and stability.
Lt-Gen Wang Gang was briefed on the PAF’s
evolving force structure, its strategic modernization initiatives, and its
forward-looking operational doctrine. During the meeting, the Air Chief
reaffirmed the strong and enduring ties between the two air forces and
reiterated PAF’s commitment to deepen collaboration across domains such as
training, technological exchange, and joint operations.
General Wang expressed high regard
for the PAF’s operational readiness and technological edge, particularly
commending its mastery in multi-domain operations—a hallmark of contemporary
air warfare. He noted PLAAF’s interest in learning from PAF’s combat experience
and operational integration, especially its conduct during the recent conflict
with India.
