Backed by leading business figures from Karachi
and an initial investment of Rs. 5 billion, the airline will be headed by retired
Air Vice Marshal Imran, who will serve as CEO. In its initial phase, Air
Karachi plans to lease three aircraft to kickstart operations.
The airline’s entry into the market is
expected to boost competition within Pakistan’s aviation sector, offering
travelers more choices and better service, while also contributing to job
creation in the industry. Its launch is part of a broader trend of new private
carriers entering the market in response to rising demand for improved air
