Saudi authorities honor Pakistani doctor for saving life of fellow passenger
Pakistani physician Dr. Rizwana
Nadeem Memon has been honored by Saudi Airlines, Commissioner Hyderabad Bilal
Ahmed, and Deputy Commissioner Matiari Yousuf Shaikh for her swift and
life-saving response to a medical emergency aboard a flight to Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Rizwana, a resident of Hala,
District Matiari, was en route to Saudi Arabia for Umrah when a fellow
passenger suddenly became critically ill mid-flight. Demonstrating quick
thinking and professional expertise, she immediately stepped in to provide
urgent medical assistance, stabilizing the passenger until the plane safely
landed.

Her selfless action was widely praised as an outstanding act of humanitarian service.
In recognition of her heroic
efforts, Saudi Airlines awarded her a Certificate of Excellent Performance,
while local authorities in Pakistan also acknowledged her contribution. Commissioner
Bilal Ahmed and DC Yousuf Shaikh presented her with a commemorative shield to
celebrate her compassion and professionalism.
“Dr. Rizwana Nadeem is a pride of
our society,” said Commissioner Ahmed. “She placed humanity above all else, and
her dedication is truly inspirational. It’s important to highlight such figures
who embody compassion, courage, and service.”
