Sky Wings to start air ambulance service in Pakistan
Following the Edhi Foundation, another private aviation company, Sky Wings, has announced its plans to launch an air ambulance service in Pakistan.
Sky Wings’ air ambulance, a Piper Seneca aircraft, has already arrived in Karachi and will be used to transport patients from airports across the country to Karachi for critical care. The service will provide rapid transportation of patients, accompanied by a medical team, ensuring timely medical attention.
Imran Aslam Khan, CEO of Sky Wings Aviation, shared that two additional aircraft will soon be added to the fleet to further expand the service nationwide.

Earlier, a rescue initiative launched by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz successfully transferred a patient for the first time in Pakistan’s air ambulance history. The patient, 40-year-old Halima Bibi from Mianwali, suffered paralysis after a fall. Initially treated at the District Headquarters Hospital in Mianwali, she was referred for further treatment in Rawalpindi.
Following Chief Minister Nawaz’s directive, Halima was transferred from Mianwali to Rawalpindi within the crucial “golden hour,” thanks to the air ambulance service. Her family expressed gratitude, calling Maryam Nawaz an "angel" for facilitating the transfer.
