Budget Saudi airline expands into Pakistani market
Flyadeal, Saudi Arabia’s budget airline, has announced its inaugural flight schedule to Pakistan, with services set to commence on February 2, 2025. This expansion marks the airline’s first scheduled operation in Pakistan and South Asia, underscoring its ambitions for international growth.
Starting next February, Flyadeal will operate twice-weekly flights
connecting Karachi, Pakistan’s commercial hub, to Riyadh, the Saudi capital,
and Jeddah, the Kingdom’s primary business center. Additional routes to other
Pakistani cities are being planned for future rollout, according to CEO Steven
Greenway.

“I want to thank the Pakistani authorities and our planning team for their
collaborative efforts in introducing this new market to Flyadeal’s year-round
destinations,” Greenway stated. “Saudi Arabia and Pakistan share strong
cultural and historical ties, and with the increasing demand for travel driven
by commercial, pilgrim, and family connections, this expansion is a natural
step.”
Greenway also highlighted the airline’s success in operating Hajj charters
to Pakistan earlier this year, describing the new Karachi routes as a
significant milestone in Flyadeal’s network growth and its entry into South
Asia. Tickets for these flights are now available for booking through
Flyadeal’s official platforms.
Plans for Global Expansion
Flyadeal’s CEO emphasized that international growth remains a top priority
as the airline continues to expand its fleet. Over the next year, Flyadeal aims
to introduce new destinations across South Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and
North Africa, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030—a strategic plan to attract over
150 million domestic and international tourists annually by the end of the
decade.
