PIA privatization: Pakistani Prime Minister highlights growth potential in aviation
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has issued directives
to expedite the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the
national flag carrier.
During a meeting with his Aviation Adviser, Air Marshal (retd)
Farhat Hussain, the prime minister underscored the importance of maintaining
transparency throughout the privatization process.

PM Kakar emphasized that the government's top priority is the
privatization of state-owned enterprises to prevent further financial losses to
the national exchequer. He highlighted the significant growth potential in the
country's aviation industry through increased investment.
In addition to the privatization of PIA, the prime minister
instructed the outsourcing of airport operations to enhance service quality.
