Pakistan Navy test-launches missile to further boost air defence
The Pakistan Navy has
successfully conducted a Live Weapon Firing (LWF) exercise in the North Arabian
Sea, demonstrating the operational effectiveness of the FM-90(N) Extended Range
Surface-to-Air Missile. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed
the development in an official statement.
According to ISPR, a Pakistan Navy ship accurately engaged and neutralized fast-moving aerial targets during the exercise, highlighting the service’s combat readiness and war-fighting capabilities. The firing demonstration was witnessed by the Commander Pakistan Fleet, who observed the operation from onboard a naval fleet unit.

The fleet commander praised the officers and
sailors for their high level of professionalism and operational competence,
reaffirming the navy’s resolve to defend Pakistan’s maritime interests in all
circumstances.
The successful missile test comes as Pakistan continues to enhance its operational preparedness. Recently, Chief of Defence Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir visited forward-deployed formations in Gujranwala and Sialkot to review a field training exercise involving tanks and unmanned aerial systems. During the visit, he emphasized the importance of adaptability, precision, situational awareness, and rapid decision-making in modern warfare.
