Southern Airlines to start direct flights to Pakistan
The move is expected to improve air connectivity
between China and Pakistan, offering greater convenience for business
travellers, students, and tourists. It is also seen as a boost for trade links
and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
In a
related development, Pakistan’s air links with Sri Lanka are also set to
strengthen. Low-cost carrier FitsAir will launch twice-weekly flights from
Colombo to Lahore beginning January 20, 2026. The service will operate on
Tuesdays and Saturdays using an Airbus A320, providing travellers with more
options on the route.
