Pakistan announces extension of airspace ban on Indian aircraft

Pakistan has announced an extension of its airspace closure to Indian aircraft until October 24, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) confirmed on Saturday.

Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson Saifullah Khan said a new NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) has been issued, extending the ban. The restriction applies to “all aircraft owned, operated, or chartered by Indian airlines or operators, including military flights.”

The measure, first imposed after heightened military confrontations and cross-border shelling on April 24, 2025, remains in place as tensions persist between the two countries.
