Islamabad Airport to provide help to people with mental challenges
In a pioneering initiative,
Islamabad International Airport has become the first airport in Pakistan to
offer specialized assistance for passengers with invisible disabilities. The airport
will now provide dedicated facilities for individuals with mental health
conditions.
Passengers with mental illnesses
will be given special sunflower ribbons, a symbol for invisible disabilities,
according to airport manager Aftab Gilani. These passengers, wearing the
sunflower lanyard, will receive priority and customized assistance at every
service counter.
