Qatar Airways says its offices in Pakistan continue to remain open
Qatar Airways has strongly refuted
recent reports suggesting it has closed its offices in Pakistan, reassuring
passengers that the airline’s operations in the country remain unaffected.
In a statement posted on social
media platform X, the airline clarified, “Qatar Airways flights to and from Pakistan
are operating as usual, and our offices continue to remain open.”
The response follows claims that the
Qatari national carrier had shut down its offices across Pakistan as part of
cost-cutting measures. Qatar Airways has dismissed these reports as inaccurate,
emphasizing that its services in Pakistan remain fully operational.

Airways closes offices in Pakistan to reduce operational costs
Earlier this week, it was reported
that the airline had closed its offices in various cities across Pakistan as
part of a strategy to streamline operations. However, the airline quickly
dismissed these claims, assuring customers that its operations in the country
continue "as usual."
In addition to this, Qatar Airways
recently announced the resumption of flights to Damascus, Syria, after a
13-year suspension. The airline will now operate three weekly flights to the
Syrian capital, marking a significant step towards regional re-engagement,
particularly following the recent fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
Qatar Airways has had a strong
financial year, with its annual net profit surging by 39%, reaching 6.1 billion
Qatari riyals ($1.67 billion).
