Beirut airport receives aid-laden Pakistani plane 

A Pakistani aircraft delivering aid, relief, and medical supplies landed at Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut. The plane was welcomed by MPs Fadi Alameh and Bilal Abdallah, along with Pakistan's Ambassador to Lebanon, Salman Atahari, and Major General Mohammad Khair, Secretary-General of the Higher Relief Committee.

This flight marks the second aid delivery to Lebanon, focusing on food and essential supplies for shelter centers. Approximately 500 tons of aid from Pakistan is expected to arrive this week.

The MPs expressed their gratitude to the government and people of Pakistan, highlighting the support as a testament to the strong ties between Lebanon and Pakistan. They expressed hope that Lebanon would reciprocate during Pakistan's times of need.

In response, the Pakistani Ambassador reaffirmed, “The government and people of Pakistan will continue to support their Lebanese brothers during these challenging times,” emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to Lebanon’s sovereignty and the right of the Lebanese people to live in peace and security.

To date, two aid flights carrying a total of 117 tons of relief supplies from Pakistan have reached Lebanon, with more aid anticipated in the coming days.
