Another Hindu Pakistani joins Pakistan Airforce (PAF) as pilot
Yet another member of the Hindu community, Dev Aanand, has joined the ranks of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) as a pilot.
Hailing from Tando Bago,
a small rural area in Sindh, Aanand successfully completed his pilot training
at the PAF Academy in Risaplur on Thursday. Notably, Aanand is the younger
brother of Lt-Col Aneel Kumar.
This development follows the selection of Hindu officer Rahul Dev
as a GD pilot by the PAF in 2020. Rahul Dev, a resident of Tharparkar, the
largest district in Sindh with a significant Hindu population, contributed to
the diversity within the PAF.
Ravi Dawani, the Secretary of the All Pakistan Hindu Panchayat,
expressed joy at Dev Aanand's appointment and highlighted that numerous members
of the minority community are actively serving in various sectors, including
civil services, the army, and the medical profession.
Dawani emphasized that there is a pool of talented individuals
like Rahul Dev who are ready to contribute to the country's service, provided
the government continues to focus on the empowerment and inclusion of
minorities.
